How it works

Tap the disc. Open the link. Leave a moment. Pass it on.

    Tap the bead with your phone

    Hold the top back of an iPhone, or the middle back of an Android, against the silver disc. A few seconds of contact is enough.

    Open the link that appears

    Your phone offers a magic link. Open it. You'll land in the TapThat app. Some phones open it on their own. No disc yet? Try /t/TT-FANS-004.

  3. 03

    Name it and leave a moment

    Name the bead, pick public or private, leave a note for whoever holds it next. If it's already live, you just add the next chapter.

  4. 04

    Pass it on

    Hand the bead over. Future notes land in the app. Tap someone's disc and you've got their card after the pool closes.

Hotspots

iPhone. The NFC bar sits across the top back. Lock screen scans more reliably than an open app.

Android. Usually the middle of the back. Unlock to the home screen, then hold still.
